QuotesSaying

"Lines I Lived. words I saved"

I’m Daisy Jericho. You might also know me as “DJFotoPerfect,” a writer, a feeler, and a quiet observer. Through every line I lived, I left a word behind. This space is where I gather them. Quotes. Sayings. Soft Truths. Saved not just for memory, but for meaning.

  • “QuotesSayings is where words become memory – a quiet space for reflections, lyrics, and moments that mattered. From photography to poetry, it’s not just what I captured – it’s what I felt. These are the lines I lived the word I saved.”

A Word Made From Words I Lived

The moment before calm found me.

    Before The Storm

It was all gone in less than twenty minutes.

The sky roared with thunder and lightning —

    heavy, sudden, and fierce.

Then, just as quickly, it softened…

leaving only puddles as its mark,

    and was gone.

The Calm After The Storm on Tanby Road

I couldn’t help noticing the puddles with the sun setting — reflections of quiet after the rush.

Moments like these remind me that peace doesn’t always arrive in silence; sometimes, it comes shimmering through what’s left behind. 🌧️🌅

A Word Made From Words I Lived

Written on an ordinary day that felt quietly enough. ✨

    “I don’t see far beyond —

    I see what’s around me.

The warmth, the bird, the breath of now.

    That’s enough for me.”

A Word Made From Words I Lived

For one brief moment, the world stopped — leaves didn’t move, and the sky stood still.

I closed my eyes and felt peace — forgetting everything except me.

    Not my problems.

    Not my past.

    Just me, that morning.

    And I loved it.

A Word Made From Words I Lived

I’ve been thinking lately… people don’t subscribe by accident.

They find something here — a word, a line, a feeling — that stays with them for a moment longer than expected.

And that means more to me than I can ever say.

    Some of you read quietly.

You don’t always comment or react — but I feel your presence.

You’re part of the calm between my words,

the stillness that makes writing worth it.

    So, thank you.

    For seeing what I share,

    for feeling what I feel,

for finding something of yourself in my reflections.

    We may never meet,

but your quiet reading keeps this space alive.

And that, to me, is everything. 💛

A Word Made From Words I Lived

I thought I was chasing sunsets — turns out, I was collecting moments of who I was becoming.

My favourite sunset — the one she caught with me.

    Wreck Point, 2018.

    processed by AtomJPEG 1.5.0n

She wasn’t just a car — she was freedom.

A three-year-old diesel Suzuki Vitara with a roof hatch I could slide open to let the world in. I’d drive with the wind in my hair, Nikon beside me, and a heart that always found peace in motion.

She was one of only two of her kind in the Rockhampton–Yeppoon area — rare, strong, and quietly steady. The dealer told me that once, and I smiled, because somehow I already knew. She had her own spirit — built for long roads and calm horizons.

She carried me to lookouts, to long roads, to quiet places where my thoughts could breathe. Through sunsets, fog, and the soft hum of playlists I don’t even remember now — she was my companion in every sense.

My favourite photos were always the ones at sunset — her silhouette against the fading light. There was peace in those moments, the road behind us glowing gold, as if the world itself was saying thank you for the day.

Until the day someone’s carelessness took her away.

But even then, I like to think she did what she always did — took the hit so I didn’t have to bear it alone.

Now when I drive past Wreck Point, I still see her there — steady, waiting, hatch open to the sky.

Some journeys end sooner than they should,

but the road still remembers those who carried our hearts.

Every photo holds a piece of where I’ve been,

and a whisper of what still lives in me.

Sometimes a flower doesn’t just bloom — it burns with life.

Today, this one reminds me that colour itself can carry breath.

“The mist carried the morning softly — like the world wanted me to wake up slowly, without rush.”

The mist rolled in this morning, quiet and unhurried. A reminder that not everything has to be seen clearly to be felt deeply.

    Daily writing prompt
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Never expect anything from no one, that way you don’t get disappointed. I never have and to date, still I don’t expect expectations.

I’ve learned that when I lower my expectations of others, I leave more room for gratitude when kindness shows up. Disappointment hurts less when you don’t depend on it.”
